Commercial

My design ideas are suitable for businesses and commercial premises of all sizes and types, from small family-run restaurants, boutique hotels and prestigious London-based offices.

Case Study: L’Aragosta restaurant, Elmer’s End, Beckenham

This Italian restaurant already had a wonderful selection of authentic Italian food but the décor was dated and it had a “cold” atmosphere.

The brief: To design and elegant and sophisticated restaurant which would be warm, inviting as well as comfortable. To create a “holiday” atmosphere where customers could relax with friends and linger over their champagne and desserts.

The result: The clients were delighted with the transformation and as a direct result of the refurbishment have also reported a substantial increase in demand and turnover.

Clients comments:

“We previously utilised Sue’s skills at our own house with great success.

We commissioned Rooms to Remember to completely change the look and feel of our restaurant with the specific brief to create an Italian oasis within our recently expanded premises. Even with the limited time available Sue designed and project managed all the work within the time scale and created an authentic sophisticated Italian restaurant which even 3 years later still receives accolades from new and regular diners.

We have no hesitation in recommending Sue and Rooms to Remember for any commission – both large and small.”

Case Study: Qatar Embassy, London

This 5 storey Victorian building was in need of a complete refurbishment from the offices to the prestigious Ambassador’s quarters. Margolis Office Environments employed me as their interior designer to create a design scheme for the entire building.

The Brief: To retain the original features of this Victorian building such as the mahogany panelling and plaster mouldings and ornamental features. To implement a decorative scheme which would compliment all these characteristics and reflect the culture of the Embassy.

The result: By using the wonderful rich jewel coloured carpets as a starting point for selecting the wallcoverings and paint colours and the fabrics for curtains and upholstery, I managed to create a rich luxurious and opulent atmosphere.

The offices required a more practical, low maintenance approach but at the same time using colours which linked with the more prestigious areas.

Client’s Comments:

“Susan O’Connor of Rooms to Remember was highly recommended for one of our large prestigious and sensitive contracts where quality work of distinction was required. We have no hesitation in endorsing Susan’s ability to create personalised work to suit the customer’s specifications. Her personal and management skills enabled her to work in a professional manner with our team to ensure that contracts and deadlines were met”.
